The Annual Surfside Beach Christmas Tree Lighting Festival is almost here!
Date: Thursday, December 3, 2026(*rain date Friday, December 4)

Program:
4:00 PM – Lakewood Elementary School Chorus performs
• 5:00 p.m. – Welcome by Mayor Krouse
• 5:10 p.m. – “The Entertainers” perform live music on stage
• 6:30 p.m. – Lighting of the Christmas Tree
• 6:35 p.m. – The “The Entertainers” performance continues until 8:00 p.m.

Jingle all the way to the Town of Surfside Beach for the merriest event of the year: The Christmas Tree Lighting! Santa himself will lead the way on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, as we light up the night sky with the most magnificent tree in town.
But that’s not all! Brace yourself for a chorus of angelic voices from the Lakewood Elementary School Chorus and toe-tapping tunes from The Entertainers. And if that’s not enough to keep you jolly, snag a family photo with Mr. Jolly himself, Santa Claus on Santa’s sleigh, decorate Christmas ornaments, or get your face painted like a Christmas character!
Feeling peckish? No worries! Sample the most scrumptious bites from our event vendors while you browse for that perfect gift. Come one, come all, and make this a night to remember with your loved ones. After all, Santa Claus, activities for the kiddos, good food, live music, shopping, and great fun are all on the menu!
