Along its two miles of pristine oceanfront, visitors now find beach houses, hotels, condominiums, restaurants, and a popular fishing pier. Pristine, beautiful beaches are cleaned daily and supervised by lifeguards and police. There are 36 beach access points, and several offer showers, restrooms and foot showers, as well as handicap-accessible ramps.
The Surfside Beach Pier is perfect for sunset walks over the water or enjoying Sunday Serenades, a summer concert series. Fisherman interested in casting a line will find equipment rentals and bait available in the Pier's tackle shop. Please see the Pier page for important information after Hurricane Mathew.
The 2017 beach renourishment project is scheduled to begin in mid-July for the first section of Surfside Beach. View the beach renourishment page for more information.
